So NICA is very specific to the State of Florida. NICA essentially is a no-fault injury compensation program for essentially children that have an oxygen deprivation injury during the labor and delivery process. And what it does is, unfortunately, it really degrades or takes away your right to bring a case in circuit civil court. The lawyers at our firm actually have a tremendous amount of experience and have handled a number of cases in which we got out of the NICA process and allowed our clients to seek justice in circuit court so that they could actually get the compensation that they deserve.
