So medical malpractice settlements, typically, once the case has resolved, the parties then have to agree to a release. Once that release is executed by both parties, typically they’re actually paid within 20 days of that release being executed. Obviously, that requires aggressive lawyers that are willing to make sure that everything gets done and gets done the right way.
