So in a birth injury case, typically the most common defendants are the hospital, which often times is the labor and delivery nurses that were there during the labor and delivery process. And also the obstetrician who delivered the baby or in some occasions, was not there and was not present when they should have been to deliver the baby. But most frequently, in our experience, it really is the hospital and what you commonly see is a mother that has been pushing and pushing, and it’s a delivery that should have been effectuated much sooner. And because the hospital is understaffed, because the nurses are overworked, because they’re under educated, it takes too long to have that delivery actually occur, which can cause injury to the child. And sometimes, unfortunately, the other, as well.
